Another Successful game

Another great day, another great Canuck win, another group of goats purchased! The approximate goat count is up to 74…well 75 now, I just bought one. Hopefully we’ll hear some great news from CRWRC with some more accurate numbers that should surpass our approx. numbers so far…so be sure to check the site tomorrow, assuming we have the update!

Thanks again to everyone! You are all making this a huge success in helping families and communities across the world from us.

3-0 Series Lead!!!!

Vancouver Canucks 3, St. Louis Blues 2

The Canucks take a strangle hold on the series with a 3-2 victory in St. Louis! Game 4 is Tuesday at 5:00pm PST from St. Louis! All the Canucks have to do is go 13-12 for the remainder of the playoffs to win the Cup. Another victory = more goats. They are going to have so many goats in Africa it is going to be an epidemic. Wooooo!!!!

CTV News tonight at 6:00pm

A story on Goat Canucks Goat will be featured tonight at 6:00 on CTV News! Hopefully it will be during intermission at that point so you don’t have to flip between the game and the news. Game 3 in 31 minutes!

Update

Big game tonight in St. Louis, be sure to check out today’s game preview courtesy of canucks.com.

We updated our goat-o-meter this morning, thanks for all the emails and facebook message letting us know you purchased a goat! We have been in contact with CRWRC and they will be keeping us updated on official numbers very soon, so watch for that goat meter to keep on rising! Even when we get the official numbers, keep letting us know if you are buying a goat, we love to know who is supporting this wonderful cause!

Thanks again for your support, you are all amazing… follow us on twitter tonight during the game, GOAT CANUCKS GOAT!

(We are at almost 4000 pageviews on our site! unreal, keep spreading the word!)

Game 3 and goat news!

Game 3 is this afternoon at 4:00pm PST from St. Louis. If Luongo continues his unbelievable play I am confident we will win this game. And the next… and the next, until the Captain becomes the first ever goalie to shake the commissioners hand and hoist the Cup. It will be interesting to see if the rough stuff that broke out after game 2 will continue in game 3. No matter what I am pretty sure that Bieksa will look angry for the entire 60 minutes. Does he ever not look angry? Oh well, intimidation is key. I thought it might be fun to throw goats on the ice after each Canucks victory like they do with octopus in Detroit. It would be great to see a bunch of goats make like Bambi and slide around at GM Place. It may be tricky to sneak a live goat into the stadium though. The security guards might get suspiscious when they hear someone’s back pack or purse “baaaaaaahhhhhh.” As the series goes on the Canucks will be at more and more of a disadvantage because of Chris Mason’s beard. Last game he made two or three great saves where the puck was actually stopped by his facial hair. His beard is like having a third d-man on the ice. I have to give him credit though as my beard is quite patchy. It should be another fun game to watch! Unless we lose.

The goat support continues to amaze me. It is absolutely incredible the support that we have been receiving. A big thank you to CRWRC who has been in constant contact with us and worked countless hours to make sure it is as convenient and easy for people to buy goats as possible! Also a thank you must be said to Darrell from www.1981.ca who created this web site free of charge to help the cause. And he also purchased a goat. Thanks to him we have been able to see that people from all over the world have visited the site and helped support the cause. People have come to the site from countries such as France, Germany, Pakistan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Australia and many more countries! As the team’s slogan states, “We are all Canucks.”

The goat-o-meter will be updated some time this morning after we have had a chance to count the new additions to the herd. It will be fun to see it rise if the Canucks can put together a win in St. Louis for game 3.

A reminder again that today’s game is at 4:00pm.  Goat Canucks goat!

Goat Count Update

So we are estimating an approx. 54 goats at this time. Honestly, we think it’s way higher, but we don’t want to over estimate just yet. We are waiting to hear back on some more official numbers from CRWRC, who as also been kind enough to post our info on their site as well! Between the TV, Radio and Newspaper coverage, we could easily be well over 100. The approx. 54 is just the ones we know about without hearing from CRWRC!

This has grown to be a huge rallying of people from all over the world wanting to help donate to the cause, we just want to thank everyone again for their support and donations. It was an unreal game last night despite shaw cable cutting off the last 2 minutes! baaa baaaa….

Some people on facebook are saying “it’s too late”, it’s not too late! Canucks are still goin strong, and you can still help support 3rd World Countries with your donation! We did receive some Paypal donations last night! Thank you! All of that money will be forwarded directly to CRWRC towards the purchase of more goats!

Next game is Sunday, April 19 @ 4pm in St. Louis! Goat Canucks Goat!

Game 2: Canucks 3, Blues 0

LOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU!!!

Roberto Luongo posts his first career playoff shutout as the Canucks take a 2-0 series lead over the St. Louis Blues! Vancouver goals scored by Sundin, Burrows and Henrik Sedin. Luongo has let in 2 goals in the last 5 games. I would not be surprised if nobody scores on him for the remainder of the playoffs. Game 3 is on Sunday.

Somewhere in the world goats are bahhhhing in jubilation.

The goat-o-meter will be updated shortly!
