Game 3 and goat news!
Game 3 is this afternoon at 4:00pm PST from St. Louis. If Luongo continues his unbelievable play I am confident we will win this game. And the next… and the next, until the Captain becomes the first ever goalie to shake the commissioners hand and hoist the Cup. It will be interesting to see if the rough stuff that broke out after game 2 will continue in game 3. No matter what I am pretty sure that Bieksa will look angry for the entire 60 minutes. Does he ever not look angry? Oh well, intimidation is key. I thought it might be fun to throw goats on the ice after each Canucks victory like they do with octopus in Detroit. It would be great to see a bunch of goats make like Bambi and slide around at GM Place. It may be tricky to sneak a live goat into the stadium though. The security guards might get suspiscious when they hear someone’s back pack or purse “baaaaaaahhhhhh.” As the series goes on the Canucks will be at more and more of a disadvantage because of Chris Mason’s beard. Last game he made two or three great saves where the puck was actually stopped by his facial hair. His beard is like having a third d-man on the ice. I have to give him credit though as my beard is quite patchy. It should be another fun game to watch! Unless we lose.
The goat support continues to amaze me. It is absolutely incredible the support that we have been receiving. A big thank you to CRWRC who has been in constant contact with us and worked countless hours to make sure it is as convenient and easy for people to buy goats as possible! Also a thank you must be said to Darrell from www.1981.ca who created this web site free of charge to help the cause. And he also purchased a goat. Thanks to him we have been able to see that people from all over the world have visited the site and helped support the cause. People have come to the site from countries such as France, Germany, Pakistan, New Zealand, the Philippines, Australia and many more countries! As the team’s slogan states, “We are all Canucks.”
The goat-o-meter will be updated some time this morning after we have had a chance to count the new additions to the herd. It will be fun to see it rise if the Canucks can put together a win in St. Louis for game 3.
A reminder again that today’s game is at 4:00pm. Goat Canucks goat!
